Ans: The coastal plains of India have a tropical humid climate which is neither too hot nor too cold. The seasonal winds also affect the climate of the plains. The South-west monsoon bring heavy rainfall to the Western Coastal plain. The Eastern coastal plain gets rainfall because of retreating South-west monsoon.

4. Name the largest lagoon of India and the state where it is found.

Ans: The largest Lagoon of India, the Chilka Lake is in the state of Odisha.

5. State the difference between the Western Coastal plain and the Eastern coastal plain.

Ans:These are the main differences between Eastern Coastal and Western Coastal Plains of India.
