Answer the following questions.
A1: India is called peninsula because it is surrounded by the water bodies from the three sides and land on one side. It has the Bay of Bengal to its east, the Arabian sea to its west and Indian ocean in the South.
A2: India is located to the north of the equator, the longest latitude. It is also located to the east of the longitude called the prime meridian.
A3:On the basis of physical features, our country is divided into five division.
1: The Great Himalayas- the abode of snow.
2: The fetile plains of North India.
3: The great Indian Desert- the that desert.
4: The coastal plains.
5: The Southern Plateau.
A4: India have 29 states and 7 union union territories.
A5: India generally experience three seasons.
a: The cold season or winter.
b: The hot season or summer.
c: The monsoon or the rainy season.

प्रश्न 4 दीपक से आपको क्या शिक्षा मिलती है ?
उत्तर 4 दीपक से हमें यह शिक्षा मिलती है कि स्वयं कष्ट सहकर भी दूसरों को खुशी देना ही जीवन की सार्थकता है
रेखांकित शब्दों का भावार्थ लिखिए
1 मन का लक्ष्य
भावार्थ - अगर मन में आगे बढ़ने की चाह हो और रास्ते प्रकाश से भरे हो तो हम अपना मनोबल और आगे बढ़ने का उद्देश्य रखते हैं तो हमारी उम्मीद कभी समाप्त नहीं होती
2 अलख जगाएं
भावार्थ - जो लोग अपने जीवन में निराश हो गए हैं उन्हें रास्ता दिखाना चाहिए और प्रेरित करना चाहिए
3 दीपक बन जाएं
भावार्थ - जो लोग दूसरों की मदद करते हैं और उन्हें रास्ता दिखाते हैं
4 घर का दीपक
भावार्थ - सिर्फ घर का दीपक बनने से घर का मान बढ़ेगा इसलिए दूसरों को भी रास्ता दिखाना चाहिए
5 नई रोशनी लाएं
भावार्थ - जो लोग प्रयास करके थक गए हैं उन्हें नए विचारों से प्रेरित करना चाहिए

1: A river basin- A basin is a low lying area draind by river and there tributaries.
2: A tributary- Tributary is a stream or river that flows into a large stream or main stream river.

D: Give reasons. 1:The Northern plain is densely populated because of favourable climate conditions of fertile soil.It is very suitable for agriculture and agriculture products are used as a raw material for industries and its plain flat land provides good sources of transport too.
2: River Brahmputra over flows and floods the land every year because as it flows through the mountains and hills it is joined by many streams.The river thus becomes swollen during the rainy.
3: The Gangetic plain is known as the food bowl of India because it is one of India's most fertile region.
E: Answer the following questions.

1: The Satluj bain.
2: The Ganga basin.
3: The Brahmaputra basin.
A2: The two reasons of agriculture is the major occupation of the people living in the Northern plain are-

A5: Growing crops on the long narrow terraces cut along the slops of the mountains is known as the terrace farming. It is practice in the Brahmaputra valley.
