Answer these questions:

Ans 1 A pointed beak bursts through the eggshell and after more chipping, a tiny and pale head of a windhover chick comes out it. Similarly, other windhover chicks break their eggshells and come out of them.

Ans 2 A boy bundles the windhover chick in a sack and takes it away from its home.

Ans3 A baby windhover is inside a cage.

Ans4 The baby windhover becomes thin and weak because when the boy gives him food, he does not year it into smaller pieces. The baby bird is unable to eat the food because it is not torn into small pieces.

Ans 5 The speaker is a little girl who visits the baby windhover every day and brings them food sometimes. She explains to the boy that a wild bird cannot belong to a person and must be free. She tells the boy to release it, or else the bird would die.

Ans 6 The baby windhover knows that it is safe because when it returns to its nest, it heard the sound of beating wings. It looks up and sees its mother flying down to feed it. The baby windhover sees that the mother bird remembers her chick, and so, it knows that it is safe.

5. The baby windhover sees its mother flying down to feed it. It knows that it is safe again.
